Spring 2009 VT Masters Lax is getting back in action! There is an opportunity to play over Labor Day weekend against the Kahnawake team in conjunction with the Senior B team that Jeff Culkin is putting together this year. Many of you probably already know that the success of the exhibition games last fall has sparked an interest in a permanent team in the Quebec League. The Masters level games will be held on Sept 5-6, 2009 at the Essex Arena and will follow normal Masters rules 35+ (no body checking, light stick checking) similar to when we played in the Kahnawake or other tournaments in the past. Plan on $25.00 per player to cover arena rental, refs, etc for the weekend – everyone will need to be a current member of US Lacrosse for insurance coverage. We will have the VT Masters box jerseys available to borrow. More details to follow, including practice times in Jul/Aug, as things firm up. For right now just reply to me if you are interested and I will send you future updates. I will also look for other opportunities to play this spring and summer.
